Hi! I'm Jake.

First and foremost, I am a Husband, and I am a Father. Those are the only two titles that I will ever care about; and my family is my top priority. Luckily, I have found a career that I absolutely love and supports my role as a provider, a husband and a father.

I am a software engineer. I have worked with both large and small companies as an individual contributor, team lead and architect. While I can contribute to any team size in a meaningful way, I have found a passion in joining smaller companies and helping them through the growth pains that come with going from a small single digit headcount company into a medium and large organization. This often includes automating what start out as manual processes, setting engineering team standards that form the foundation for growth, scaling a product - or products - from local, to regional, national and even international growth.

Considering I spend the vast majority of my life in my office, I have invested a lot into my office space - everything from a custom-built office desk, audiophile hobby, custom-built computer and my many, many gaming peripherals; and I am quite proud of the result.
